Gobowen Station Community Enhancement Project: Gobowen Station, which is on the Shrewsbury to Chester line, is Grade II listed. This project will deal with conservation work and repairs to the two station buildings, as follows: - Buildings 1&2 - Scaffolding & protection - Building 1 - Render repairs (using natural cement mixes, with inscribed ashlar lines) - Building 1 - Roof repairs & associated work, including to chimneys & rainwater goods - Building 1 - Joinery & other repairs - Building 2 - Roof repairs, including to rainwater goods - Building 2 - Joinery & other repairs - Buildings 1&2 - Repainting all joinery A TWO-STAGE procurement process is being used to award the contracted works as detailed below: STAGE ONE: This comprises the PQQ process, to allow and identify the selection of suitable contractors, once the completed PQQ forms have been received and evaluated. STAGE TWO: This will be the formal invitation to tender process. Short-listed bidders selected following the PQQ evaluations, will be invited to submit a tender for these works. We anticipate this short-list will include no more than 5 organisations. The form of contract for the works will be the JCT Minor Works Building Contract 2016.
