Description
Brighter Futures for Children would like to invite all interested parties to a Market Engagement event: 30th November 2023, 10:30 to 12:00 at the Civic Offices, Bridge Street, RG1 2LU. This is a joint event with Reading Borough Council (RBC). RBC are reviewing licensing arrangements for hire vehicles and would like feedback from those currently delivering school transport. Brighter Futures for Children is reviewing the ways in which we provide school transport and would like feedback from current and potential providers on our proposals. Our proposals include: • reducing the number of single collections; • reduce the number of home pick-ups and introduce routes with pick-up points; • reduce our emissions inline with our environmental policies by using larger vehicles; • working with our neighbouring local authorities to reduce the number of routes. To register, please send a list of your attendee's names (maximum three per organisation), email addresses and role within the organisation to: childrenscommissioning@brighterfuturesforchildren.org We ask that each organisation has a maximum of 3 attendees - the deadline for registration is 24th November 2023.
