23-57 Gymnasium Equipment (OfS Funded Project)

Description

Details of Provision Required Following a £6 million funding boost from the Office for Students (OfS), the university of Wolverhampton is currently undertaking significant refurbishment of sport and healthcare facilities at the Walsall Campus. The refurbishment project will overhaul existing facilities creating a revitalised health and performance gym facility and a suite of learning spaces. The world class multipurpose teaching and training facilities will be designed to facilitate inter-professional education (IPE), which is essential for allied health and sport and physical activity practitioners who work together in a clinical environment. The new Health and Performance gym is planned to be a truly world class learning and training environment with the highest quality specialised equipment for rehabilitation, strength training and conditioning. Contract Duration This is a one off Procurement exercise for the University, a long term relationship will be expected via Warranty commitments and collaborative working. Lotting This Tender is not lotted, the need to coordinate the different contractors for the lots could seriously risk undermining the proper execution of the contract. Budget Detail The budget for this study has been set at a maximum of £240,000 including VAT and all associated costs, such as but not limited to, delivery, installation, training, ongoing support etc. In order to allow the Contract to be used for Funded projects we are notifying all tenderers that some or all of this tender requirement is externally funded by the Office for Students and/or Sports UK.
