Ward Curtains and Bed Screens Cleaning Service

Description

NHS Lanarkshire require a cleaning service for bed screens and ward curtains. The service should include the uplift of screens and curtains, laundering, and return to the following locations: West of Scotland Laundry, Hairmyres Hospital, Wishaw General Hospital, and Monkland Hospital, on an agreed frequency. The services provided must adhere to the highest quality standards, and in line with agreed HSE/Infection control guidelines. The successful supplier must meet all legislative requirements, in particular Infection Control Guidelines HSG (95) 18 (Laundry treatments at high and low temperatures) eliminating the risk of cross infection within the locations supplied with screens/curtains. The successful supplier must also have a Quality Management System in place (ideally ISO9001) and have an Environmental Management Policy (ideally ISO14001) Independent verification of compliance will be required relating to HSG (95) 18, Quality Assurance Attainment (e.g. ISO Accreditation), and the Environmental Management Policy. NHS Lanarkshire wish to invite suppliers who can provide these requirements, to register interest.
