The Authority are looking to set up a nonexclusive framework for the provision of an at home glucose tolerance testing solution which will consist of the test, administration of supply to the end user of the test, collection of the results and the provision of the data back to the trust. The resulting framework will allow NHS organisations to contract a supplier to: • Provide the test • Manage the distribution of the test on behalf of the trust, including confirming with the maternity team that the lady still requires the test • Collate the results • Deliver the results back to the maternity team • Manage any ladies that have not completed the test and use escalation routes agreed with the maternity team for these ladies • Manage any questions from ladies that are raised The framework will be available to all NHS entities across the United Kingdom and allow the NHS entities to contract directly with a framework supplier for a number of products via an NHS contract (provided in this procurement), for periods of time up to 10 years Please note this is not simply a glucose meter rather a solution that includes the measuring device and the collection and distribution of the results.
