In order to submit your interest in this tender, please download the documentation from In-Tend, complete, and return. Please ensure any clarifications are submitted through In-Tend well in advance of the submission deadline in order to guarantee a response. This is a framework contract for flooring repair and replacement services. One supplier shall be appointed to the University Framework, which shall run for up to 5 years, subject to satisfactory performance and annual review. Works will involve indoor flooring of all types within the University (including timber and engineered wood, and some tiling work), and will range from a single room to several residential blocks. Most internal flooring works are expected to be within our current building portfolio, and shall be a mixture of refurbishment and reactive maintenance repairs. You may on occasion be required to install flooring into new buildings, however in most instances you will be expected to carry out the work in occupied and furnished buildings. This will include the removal of furniture, the uplift and disposal of existing flooring finishes, and the adequate preparation of substrate, including use of correct products i.e. screed, adhesives etc, to lay new flooring. You will also be expected to provide advice and guidance on flooring products suitable for different areas, some specialised - such as laboratories. This contract is required to undertake numerous projects over Summer and Easter holiday periods, as well as also providing responsive reactive repairs service throughout. The contractor will be required to demonstrate how their resources will be deployed and available as required under this contract. All aspects are to be carried out to the highest standards of workmanship with no defects. The successful supplier must be able to problem solve and assist with asbestos rectification work.
