NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (WY ICB) is inviting interested bidders to apply to be accredited for the AQP Consultant-Led Community Ophthalmology Services. Please note that the service is to be delivered to Leeds patients only and not across West Yorkshire. The WY ICB is re-opening this window for new entrants to join the Any Qualified Provider (AQP) list. We are also requesting that current providers re-apply by completing the required sections to ensure that they still comply with the requirements of the qualification criteria. The aims of the service are to provide a comprehensive consultant-led community ophthalmology services and to provide a full local pathway for Leeds patients encompassing: - Clinical assessment and triage - Opinion and Advice for patients and referrers - Treatment and recovery where applicable - Discharge back to the appropriate level of care - Referral onwards only where appropriate The service will also: - Offer patients a choice of locations and appointment times, ensuring equitable, timely, and appropriate access. - Ensure that patients are seen and treated in a safe environment most appropriate to their care needs. Provide best value for money, delivering effective and sustainable use of resources. Details of the requirements are stated in the service specification and can be found as an attachment in the Qualification Envelope in the procurement portal. Additional information: Please not that by choosing to offer this service as an Any Qualified Provider, the Commissioner offers no guarantee of activity volume. Patients will choose the provider they wish to carry out their treatment and this patient choice will drive activity levels.
