Description
Lyndon Distribution Centre (LDC) Stores is a stores and logistics function managed by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) serving primary, secondary and academy schools in the Borough of Solihull, as well as, several council departments, with a variety of products to include but not limited to disposable, cleaning, janitorial products, clothing, and PPE, electrical and first aid products. The stores are a small warehouse facility in Fordbridge, Solihull and provide a delivery service to its internal and external customers on a weekly basis. Its external customers include schools in Birmingham and Walsall as well as Parish Councils in neighbouring areas. There are approximately 3,000 product lines held in stock.As part of a review of its internal procurement process and an earlier market engagement, LDC Stores is looking now to proceed with set up a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) which be a flexible framework of approved suppliers that will be able to bid, quote, or tender f
