Provision of Cleaning Services

Description

The Council is seeking to work collaboratively with suitable and competent contractors to deliver a combined building and window cleaning service provision to Dorset Council, and Schools/Academies, which is fit for purpose, flexible and cost efficient. The cleaning of public toilets, offices, libraries, day centres and youth centres will also be included within these arrangements. The intention is that the prime activity will be building cleaning services and the contractor(s) will also provide a window cleaning offer, either provided by the contractor themselves or through a sub-contracting arrangement. The contract(s) is due to be awarded in January 2023 for a contract commencement date of 1st April 2023. The contract will be for an initial 4-year period from 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2027 with provision to extend, subject to satisfactory and continually improved performance, for a further 2 years, 1st April 2027 to 31st March 2029, in yearly increments. The potential total contract period could therefore be up to a maximum of 6 years.
