SOL - Surface Condition Assessments of the National Network of Roads - AWARD

Description

Solihull MBC is acting as the lead authority for the procurement exercise relating to the provision of SCANNER (Surface Condition Assessment of the National Network of Roads) surveys for a joint survey of the Classified Road networks of the participating West Midlands District Councils, as defined in 2.4. It is proposed that the contract will be awarded on a single source basis on behalf of all 6 authorities. The initial term of the Contract will be for the period of 1 years from commencement but may be extended by mutual agreement by 2 increments of 1 years to an expiry date no later than 31/03/2026. The services will be subject of review in the 2nd / 3rd year and the results of those reviews will inform the Council's decision whether or not to offer any extension. The requirement is to undertake SCANNER (Surface Condition Assessment of the National Network of Roads) Surveys for a joint survey of the Classified Road networks of the participating West Midlands' District Councils. This work activity includes all survey work, data processing and supply of data in accordance with the current SCANNER Specification, work must only be carried out using fully accredited equipment. It is anticipated that the total expenditure within each year of the contract will be in the order of £30,000 - £40,000 based upon the requirements of SMBC and the six other authorities detailed in this ITT.
