PRIVATE MEDICAL COVER SPECIFICATION LLA are seeking to renew their Private Medical Insurance (PMI) cover for all their employees, their spouses, and dependants. For the 8 Executive Team members, there will be additional cover in place to that specified as part of this tender. If the Executive Cover is best managed as a separate policy, LLA will accept the separation. This should be offered as a fully insured (with profit share) and managed service. LLA will not consider bids on a Trust basis. The policy will be underwritten as Medical History Disregarded (MHD) for all covered on the policy. The policy will be based on a nil excess for employees. LLA have 748 directly employed staff (including 8 Executives/Directors). Those who will be covered will be subject to PAYE and have an Employment Contract with LLA. Additional information: Core Cover additions and requirements In addition to the core cover, the provider will be able to offer a range of additional options including but not limited to: o Pregnancy complication care o Caesarean Section o Midwifery services o PSA Testing for men o Oral surgery o Rehabilitation following in-patient treatment o Optical, Dental and Hearing Cover - either through insurance or cash plan o Reduced cost for medical treatment not covered under scheme carried out at one of the suppliers' facilities. o Discounts and offers on health products and services such as gym memberships or fitness trackers o Extended overseas cover LLA will seek to include additions to the core cover, so it is important that the supplier can offer a diverse range of additional services.
