Gate, Barrier and Roller Shutter Maintenance

Description

Gentoo Group has a number of premises located within the boundaries of Sunderland Houghton, Hetton and Washington. A number of these premises have shutters, barriers and gates which require regular preventative maintenance in addition to general ongoing repair requirements. The purpose of this Procurement is to arrange for the delivery of these services. The works that will be required to be delivered by the Provider are as follows: (a) To carry out Service Visits once every six months to each gate, barrier and shutter at each premises including the provision of reports to be submitted to Gentoo; (b) To conduct Safety Force Tests and Risk Assessments as necessary to each gate, barrier and shutter; (c) To carry out responsive repairs as and when required both during working hours and out-of-hours; and (d) To provide general consultancy services regarding the condition of Gentoo Group's gates, barriers and shutters. The Contract is to run for a period of 2 years initially, followed by 2 x potential extensions of 12 months - a maximum duration of 4 years in total. On completion of the initial 2-year period stated above, the decision will be made by Gentoo Group's Repairs & Maintenance Team in agreement with the Provider as to whether to disband the Contract or to activate the first possible 12-month extension. This process will then repeat after that initial extension period. In the event that both extension options are utilised, the Contract will then conclude after a total duration of 4-years.
