BBV HS2 MWCC North - Pumping Stations - Civil/Architectural Package

Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) have been awarded HS2 main works civils contracts for the Area North project in the West Midlands. We are looking to engage with a Civil and Architectural contractor who can design, procure, supply and construct a technical building to house equipment for HS2 track drainage system. Full details and specifications will be provided to the successfully shortlisted suppliers. Suppliers should be aware of the scale of this project and should assess their internal capabilities to be able to carry out the intended scope of works, prior to completing this expression of interest (EOI). Additional information: The Pumping Stations are unique elements in N1/N2 civil contract to manage the surface water runoff and groundwater flows for protecting the railway track from flooding. The three open route pumping stations are sized to protect the track from flooding and cover flow range from dry weather groundwater flows to the maximum flows for a 1 in 1000-year storm event. The pumping station lifts the flows via a short rising main and gravity pipe into the nearby balancing pond before discharging to the watercourse. The Civil & Architectural Works Package covers the design, procurement, supply, construction of a technical building to house the M&E equipment and the associated miscellaneous civil structures. The scope includes: • Concrete Foundation, RC Frame Building, Precast Slab Roofing, Green Roof. • Architectural works including external Cladding, Blockwork walls, Doors and Louvres, waterproofing and finishes • Groundworks, Excavation, and Concrete In-situ Below Ground Structures (Water Tanks, valve chambers...) and Buried Services and Trenches. (Foul and Surface Water Drainage Systems, Cable Ducts, Back Filling) • All Temporary Works during Construction including, Site Electrical supply and Power distribution, Surface Water Management, Dewatering, Site Storage and Welfare facilities, Access equipment, Scaffolding, Safety Barriers, Pedestrian & Vehicle separation.
