Severn Trent Water are re-tendering their framework for Ecological Services, this is the pre-qualification stage to assist Severn Trent in deciding which supplier(s) to shortlist for the required services outlined below. Ecological surveys are required to determine the presence of habitats and species within an identified area. Undertaking these surveys will help ensure the design and delivery of development works is completed in a responsible way and in accordance with Ecological Legislation, including the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The information provided by Ecological surveys will assist with the planning and scheduling of activities, helping to ensure programme commitments are met. Core Activities The Supplier will be able to undertake all types of Ecological Surveys and support work, including but not limited to: • Preliminary Ecological Assessments • UKHab Assessments • Ecological Supervision of Vegetation Clearance • Production of Biodiversity Enhancement Plans • Production of Biodiversity Action Plans • Species Specific surveys (Bat, GCN, Badger, etc) Tender documents can be found on the tender portal as below; http://discovery.ariba.com/rfx/15060019
