GB-Watford: Sustainable MEP Consultant

Description

Watford Borough Council seeks to appoint a suitable Consultant with knowledge and experience delivering sustainable mechanical, electrical and plumbing services to develop Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) Bid and progress the design on three properties from RIBA Stage Two through to RIBA Stage Five, ensuring start date onsite aligns with PSDS fund release dates in April 2023. The overarching objective for this project is to develop further the PSDS bid submission in relation to the Harebreaks Community Centre, Orbital Community Centre and The Palace Theatre to enable construction to commence onsite in April 2023, when the funds for the PSDS bid are anticipated to be released. The project next steps and consultant objectives are detailed as below: •Development of existing PSDS RIBA Stage 2 pack of information to RIBA Stage 3 detail design oDevelopment of tender set information oSchedules of works for PSDS properties to be completed and agreed oSubmission of relevant planning permissions •Progression of PSDS design set of information to RIBA Stage 4 Technical Design •Build works for the repair and maintenance of the properties as defined in Appendix B to be developed alongside PSDS works •Procurement of contractor for construction to commence April 2023 Watford Borough Council appreciate that this is an aggressive timeline and are seeking a consultant who would be able to suggest an approach and solutions to the tight timeline to the April 2023 date. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
