AQP Vasectomy Service on behalf of NHS West Yorkshire ICB in Leeds

NHS Leeds Health and Care Partnership is inviting interested providers to apply to be part of a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of Vasectomy Services for the population of Leeds. To provide a community vasectomy service for patients registered with a GP Practice. The service will deliver an innovative, high quality, efficient service closer to patients home. Regular updates on latest evidence received and best practice from NICE and other related bodies will be acted upon for the vasectomy service. Current evidence suggests that community services such as these will increase patient choice, improve local access and increase capacity within Health Communities. Vasectomy is a surgical technique employed in order to provide (usually) permanent contraception in males. The service will: -Offer patients a choice of locations and appointment times, ensuring equitable timely and appropriate access; -Ensure that patients are seen and treated in a safe environment, most appropriate to their care needs; -Provide best value for money, delivering effective and sustainable use of resources. The opportunity will be open to providers to participate until 12 noon on 30th September 2027 and providers can request to participate at any time. Evaluations of applications will take place at least every 3 months. Due to the national agenda for developing more integrated health services, NHS Wakefield Health and Care Partnership, NHS Kirklees Health and Care Partnership, NHS Bradford Health and Care Partnership and NHS Calderdale Health and Care Partnership may also become an associate of any resulting contracts. Therefore the Vasectomy Services would also be available to Wakefield, Kirklees, Bradford and Calderdale populations.
