NHS Devon Clinical Commissioning Group sought to commission a Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) services for Devon. The MVP is a group of birthing people and their families, commissioners, and maternity staff (list is not exhaustive) collaborating to review and co-produce local maternity care. It is led by an independent lay chair who ensures service users are represented. The focus of the work of the MVP reflects priorities set out by national, regional, and local NHS governance as well as the priorities identified by our local communities. Clinical Commissioning groups (CCG) have a statutory obligation to consult with the public. An adequately resourced, well-functioning MVP supports this work to fulfil the statutory obligations of Public and Patient participation by the CCG. The contract is for a 12-month term with potential to extend to an additional 12 months subject to funding. The total value for the life of the contract (2 years) is £58,000 excluding VAT. This procurement has been carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioner(s). Additional information: The services are falling within Schedule 3 to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ("the Regulations") which are not subject to the full regime of the Regulations, but is instead governed by the "Light Touch Regime" contained within Chapter 3, Section 7 of the Regulations (Regulations 74 to 77). The contract value of this procurement is under the Light Touch Regime threshold and therefore the rules of this Regime do not apply.
