St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust provides a Lead Employer model for circa 12,000 Doctors and Dentists in specialist training across 6 HEE regions in England. Based on the experience through covid of the Aug 2021 rotation the team want to make it even better in 2022. Lessons have been learnt already but with an eye on continual improvement the Lead Employer wants to undertake an independent review of its onboarding systems and processes. With a fresh pair of eyes that considers feedback from staff, trainees, and stakeholders, the LE is seeking to identify practical and innovative ways in which it can make the process the most effective it can be. It wants to minimize duplication, reduce errors, empower teams and deliver a high quality service to the trainees and the host employers.
