Mayoral Chauffeur / Attendant and Transport Service 2022 - 2024 (2026)

Description

Wigan Council is seeking a contractor to provide an executive style car with a regular experienced and professional chauffeur / attendant to the Mayor of Wigan as and when required in relation to the Mayor's engagements. This is to be a complete service. The Mayor of Wigan attends engagements which can involve anything from meeting Royalty, opening local businesses or visiting local communities. Engagements are generally restricted to the Wigan area and those that fall within Greater Manchester although on occasions the Mayor is expected to attend an event further afield. Further details around the number of engagements can be found within the Invitation to Tender documentation. There will also be occasions when it will be necessary to supply two executive style cars with experienced professional chauffeurs / attendants for use when the Deputy Mayor is also required to be on duty. The chauffeur / attendant will also be expected to carry out a range of duties and responsibilities at Mayoral engagements and functions. The contract will be for an initial period of two years from July 2022 with the option to extend for two further periods of twelve months each reviewed on an annual basis. The closing date of Friday 29th April 2022 at 17:00 represents the deadline for the submission of final tenders.
