BackgroundFollowing the development of the New Clinical Buildings at the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital site, there is an opportunity to create green spaces to support our staff, visitors and patients experience and wellbeing. The areas include: -External areas requiring planting -First floor Terrace to be shared between Critical Care and Neonatal Services -Maternity Courtyard Garden -Surgical Courtyard Garden -Memorial Garden requiring planting and a memorial structure only The planned site is on the Client's Luton and Dunstable University Hospital site, which is situated at Lewsey Road, Luton, LU4 0DZ. Client's objectives The Client's objective is for the delivery of the Projects; •To provide therapeutic and calm outdoor spaces to improve our staff, patients and visitors experience and support wellbeing, as identified in the Virtual Reality photos and video designs. •The Client has a limited budget, and the majority of the works are being funded by the Trust's Charity. •Gardens must be minimal maintenance and must recognise the nature of the hospital with vulnerable patients. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
