GBC-Sustainable Travel Initiative for A3 Guildford area

Description

Guildford Borough Council working in partnership with Surrey County Council and National Highways are seeking to appoint an experienced local supplier for the provision of a sustainable active travel network. The contract which will run for two years, should be focused on supporting organisations whose employees travel to work on the A3 as it passes through Guildford, Surrey. This is part of a package of measures to improve air quality, called the Electric Towns and Cities Initiative (ETCI Guildford). The underlying ambition is to enable a radical transformation in travel patterns; specifically targeted at supporting organisations to promote sustainable travel choices amongst their employees to reduce the number of diesel and petrol car journeys they make along the A3 in the Guildford area. It is essential that the supplier provides examples of carrying out similar schemes that they have carried out for other local authorities.
