The Heritage Connectors project is looking to test and pilot part of the "whole-community approach to social prescribing", as adopted by the National Academy for Social Prescribing (NASP) and evidenced by the Health Connections Mendip service, part of Frome Medical Practice - specifically through interaction with the historic environment and local heritage in Frome, thus strengthening the connection between local people and the place they live in and optimising the benefits they can experience from understanding and connecting with their local heritage. It is a 9-month pilot, which will train circa 50 local Heritage Connectors, produce the necessary toolkit, and produce lessons learned / recommendations for further scaling up/implementation.
