Demolition of Carnavon House and associated structures in Clacton on Sea. With reference to site plan and asbestos demolition report, demolish and remove from site all arisings the building known as Carnavon House. Structure to be removed 200mm below finish floor level. Voids to ground level to be graded to adjacent levels with compacted type 1 aggregate. Asbestos to be removed by licensed contractor, appointed by principle contractor. Principle contractor to include for all costs associated with notification removal, air monitoring and proving client with relevant certification upon completion . The site encompasses a 3 story building originally constructed c1960/70s. The structure comprises of RC frame incorporating masonry infill. The floors and roof are of concrete construction. The building incorporates a lift and associated lift motor room to the room and pit to the ground floor. Internally the building includes lightweight partitioning. The site also incorporates an external stair case and small storage areas. The site is accessed from Carnavon Road to a small car park area. Tendring discount council is currently in negotiations with UKPN for the de energising of the electrical supply.
