GB-Watford: River Colne Works - North Watford

Tenders are invited for the build and permitting for four sites in North Watford - Knutsford Playing Fields to Waterfield Recreational Area. For the purposes of this project the contractor appointed will be acting as Principle Contractor and Groundwork East will be acting as the Principle Design as per CDM requirements. Groundwork South will be acting as the contract administrator for the duration of the works and have provided the proposals. The Proposals for the works -Backwater and pondscape creation -In channel features using woody debris installation and floating platforms - Tree works This capital works for the Northern Sites will commence in late September 2022 with the permitting submission after which the capital works will follow in January 2023 (or December if possible). The proposed contract will be JCT Design and Build Contract 2016 edition. There will be some element of adapting designs in locations of works in response to changing site environmental variables - the Contractor will be required to discuss adjustments with the contract administrator before proceeding at each location.
