The Council is looking to implement a framework with a suitable number of qualified and experienced contractors to deliver a range of print services which will incorporate all or some of the following: - LOT 1 Offset/Litho Print including Finishing Web Print including Finishing Finishing is included as appropriate and includes but is not limited to: · ; Die-cut, Lamination, Encapsulation, Fold/crease/score, Perfect Binding, Perforation, Embossing, Foil Blocking, Eye Letting, Spot UV, Numbering External print would vary in type, size, quantity and complexity depending on the individual job. The range could include posters, leaflets, brochures, die-cut folders. LOT 2 Large Format Bridge Banners Fence Banners Large Foamex Boards Vehicle Signage Finishing is included as appropriate and includes but is not limited to: · ; Stitching, Eyeletting, Laminating, Mounting <b><u>Introduction</u></b> Gateshead Council operates its own Central Print Unit (Print Point), the professional and highly qualified staff, along with the latest technology enables Print Point to offer the Council a quality printing service providing the majority of print, design and promotional needs. The capabilities of Print Point are at times stretched and this contract is to supplement the work of Print Point to cover gaps in service provision that cannot be provided in house. This contract will also be used as back up during instances when service provision is working to full capacity. The Council wish to implement an external printing framework contract that will be managed by Print Point on behalf of all service areas to co-ordinate external print.
