NHS England South (South West) Health & Justice Team cordially invite all suitably qualified and experienced providers (including social enterprise / third sector organisations, NHS, primary and secondary care providers, as well as substance misuse and mental health providers) to a Market Engagement Event on Thursday 9th July 2015 in Bristol from 13:30 to 16:00. NHS England South (South West) is responsible for commissioning outcome-focused prison healthcare services, equivalent to those available to the local community and intends to commission a new prime provider contract for the provision of all healthcare services across 5 prisons in the NHS England South (South West) area. The procurement will include 5 prisons: HMP Bristol; HMP Erlestoke; HMP Eastwood Park; HMP Leyhill and HMP Ashfield. Each prison will require a comprehensive range of in-house services including but not limited to physical health, mental health and substance misuse services. We are particularly looking to encourage innovation in service delivery to increase links to community services and to reduce outpatient appointments. Lot structure details have not yet been finalised but will follow a Prime Provider model. It is envisioned that providers will be able to bid for one, multiple or all lots and can bid in isolation or in a consortium. The Market Engagement Event aims to encourage links and relationships with existing and potential providers to promote the submission of a quality bid. Details of the venue will be released to all attendees on registration but will be in the Bristol / M4 & M5 interchange area. Additional information: Providers wishing to attend the Market Engagement Event should email their interest to NHSCS.commissioning@nhs.net by 12pm on the 30th June 2015 with the following details: Name of attendee(s); job title of attendee(s); organisation details, including address and contact details. Please ensure that the title of the email is “Market Engagement Event South West Prison Healthcare Services”. Please note that attendance is limited to 2 attendees per organisation. An agenda will be issued to providers prior to the event. In the event that you are unable to attend but would like to receive a copy of any presentation materials, please send an email to NHSCS.commissioning@nhs.net and copies will be sent to you. The event is advertised on Contracts Finder and OJEU. An expression of interest to attend this Market Engagement Event is no indication of a commitment to participate in the future tender process nor does it infer any special status on those providers who do attend. An expression of interest in this event will not automatically entitle involvement in any future procurement exercise. Any procurement conducted as a result of this event will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement as and when it is published. Providers who do not attend this Market Engagement Event will still be able to apply for the procurement in the future. Please note that this Market Engagement Event does not represent a formal stage in the procurement process and attendance will play no part in any subsequent evaluation process.
