Scientific and Technical Computing Framework

Description

The UKNNL is looking to establish an open framework for software solutions and hardware in support of technical and scientific computing applications. The envisaged scope of this framework will include: • Development of technical and or scientific software applications covering any aspect of nuclear science and technology • Infrastructure as code for the deployment of cloud-based applications for technical and scientific applications • Edge computing devices and technologies, not excluding compute infrastructure, wireless and other network technologies, IoT devices to couple with sensor technologies • Access to national level computing facilities for the development of scientific and technical solutions for the delivery of NNL's core business activities • Software solutions for embedded devices and programmable logic controller systems for edge deployments • Research collaborations in the field of scientific and technical computing aligned with NNL's core business activities This framework is envisaged to be categorised into the below Lots: Lot 1 - Infrastructure Support Lot 2 - Software Development Lot 3 - Edge Computing & IoT Lot 4 - Scientific Computation Facilities Lot 5 - Research activities Lot 6 - Full solution build
