Description
Design and Build contract for the delivery of a new electrical building, housing electrical equipment to renew the electrical supply to the Council House in Plymouth and also a proposed new energy centre in the future. The single storey building will have stepped foundations and include a green roof, and aluminium anodised cladding panels, and associated work, and the installation of electrical equipment. Significant design work has been completed to RIBA 3. The contractor will need to act as Principal Contractor (CDM) and Principal Designer (Building Regulations), with the client's architect and structural engineers novated. A planning application has been submitted with a decision awaited. Start on site is expected in February 2026 with completion in June 2026.
