Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is acting as the lead authority for the co-ordination of a collaborative joint tendering process on behalf of Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC, Bridgend CBC and Merthyr Tydfil CBC. The awarding of the Contract will be carried out by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council. It is the Authorities intention to award this contract in its entirety to one provider for all participating authorities. The services shall consist of the maintenance, inspection and repair of each Council’s assets: a. Traffic Signals intersections including Wig-Wag Signals b. Pedestrian Crossings including Pelican, Puffin and Toucan Crossings c. All communications equipment for traffic control equipment d. Minor civil works associated with maintaining traffic control equipment e. Supply/installation of traffic control equipment for the upgrade of existing sites including civil engineering works. This Contract is for the supply of all labour, plant, equipment, materials, tools and spare components required to carry out the maintenance and inspection of all site types listed above and any ancillary equipment forming part of the listed installations as provided within each Council’s inventory.
