The contract ensures continued national access to the Royal Marsden Manual Online (RMM), providing NHS Wales staff with secure, up‑to‑date clinical guidance across all care settings. RMM, developed by clinical nurse experts at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, is the only comprehensive digital resource for standardised adult nursing procedures and is available exclusively through institutional online access. Access to the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Manual of Children and Young People’s Nursing Practices is also included. With over 300 evidence‑based paediatric procedures, it complements RMM for organisations delivering care to both adults and children. NHS Wales currently holds a 7‑month subscription to GOSH, ending February 2026. Both RMM and GOSH are nationally important, expert‑authored resources that support consistent, evidence‑based nursing practice across NHS Wales. Local or individual purchasing is neither practical nor cost‑effective, and loss of access would remove two key tools embedded in Welsh nursing practice. The current RMM licence expires on 22 March 2026. Without renewal, staff would need to rely on physical library resources, increasing costs and reducing timely access to essential clinical information.
