A digitally enabled renal rehabilitation and self-management support service for people with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) conditions, utilising the Kidney Beam digital platform, associated clinical intervention programmes and health coaching support. The Service supports optimisation of long-term condition management, patient activation and improved clinical and quality-of-life outcomes, aligned with NHS Long Term Plan priorities. LEGAL JUSTIFICATION: This is a transparency notice notifying the market that NHS North Central London will be awarding a contract for a Digitally Enabled Renal Rehabilitation and Self-Management Support Service to Kidney Beam LTD. This direct award is made under Section 41(1)(a) and Schedule 5, Paragraph 5 of the Procurement Act 2023: The following conditions are met in relation to the public contract— (a)due to a particular supplier having intellectual property rights or other exclusive rights, only that supplier can supply the goods, services or works required, and (b)there are no reasonable alternatives to those goods, services or works.
