Description
North Northamptonshire Council (here after referred to as 'the Council') Housing Maintenance & Repairs Services maintains c. 8,230 council owned dwellings across North Northamptonshire. The purpose of this contract would be to support the Council's Voids team with any Major Void refurbishment works. Over a quarter of all Council voids are classified as 'Major' voids which require the replacement of a major component e.g. kitchen, heating system, electrical system, notifiable asbestos removal or structural repairs. This work costs significantly more than a standard void and takes more time. As a result, the Council at times are unable to provide sufficient resource and may seek support from external suppliers to ensure delays are reduced. To deliver the improved turnaround and possible economies of scale, Housing Maintenance & Repairs Services require a flexible measured-term contract, where such work can easily be draw down.
