Provision of Leakage and Repair

Description

The products under this Framework Agreement are used throughout the NGN network. The purpose of this framework is to ensure continuity of supply of the sealant and associated equipment to the business at agreed rates and lead time and to ensure products conform to the correct specification and standards. The items under the framework agreement met the necessary Gas Industry Standards, LC9, LC12 and LC24, but there was a national strategy group considering if there was a requirement for the sealant to be manufactured to British Standards. In September 2022 new guidance and standards were published. This event was conduced under PA23 - PR24. The scope was split into 5 lots, indicated below: Lot 1 - Annular sealants Lot 2 - Leakage Sealants Lot 3 - Bar Hole Sealing Lot 4 - Flow Stopping Lot 5 - Live Insertion Interested suppliers were able to bid for any of the lots. This means they can bid for one or all or anything in between. This Framework value is estimated at £3m for the lifecycle of the contract.
